After applying to Italian universities, you need to start the visa application process. International students from outside the European Union must apply for a Type D student visa for stays exceeding 90 days at the local Italian embassy or consulate. You may be required to provide:

A valid visa application form and an administrative fee of 80 Jordanian Dinars
A valid passport
Proof of language proficiency in Italian or English, depending on the study program
A recent passport-sized photo
Proof of accommodation in Italy for the duration of your studies
Evidence of sufficient funds, at least 467.64 euros per month

An acceptance letter from an Italian institution

Additionally, students from outside the EU must apply for a residence permit in the city where they will live within eight days of arrival in Italy.

Proof of Financial Means

To prove your financial means, you need to provide the following:

A bank statement from an accredited bank showing a balance of €6,500 to €7,000, either personal or from your parents, with access to these funds in Italy.
A bank statement from your parents.
Documents related to your parents’ employment, such as a salary statement or business registration.
A notarized declaration of responsibility from your parents.

Alternatively, a guarantor residing in Italy (not a student) can be accepted instead of your parents. Cash, property, or ownership bonds are not accepted as proof of funds.

Additional Requirements:

All documents must be accompanied by a certified English translation from offices accredited by the Italian embassy.
Note that some Italian universities might require translations in Italian.
Submit certified copies of certificates, not the original documents.
